錄音文稿：	Introduction Welcome, and thank you for choosing the On Call Vivid Blood Glucose Monitoring System. For your reference, the video will make you more familiar with the system. Installing the Battery Two 3 Volt CR 2032 coin cell batteries are needed to power the On Call Vivid Meter. Install them by following these steps: 1. Turn over the meter to locate the battery cover. Press the battery cover tab down and lift the cover to open it. 2. Insert two new coin cell batteries. Make sure they are positioned with the plus side facing up in the battery carrier. 3. Close the battery cover and make sure it snaps shut. Meter Setup before Testing Before using your meter for the first time, you will need to adjust the settings. Now, let us begin. Press the Power button to turn on the meter. When turned on for the first time the meter will automatically enter the setup mode. Press the S button for 2 seconds to enter the meter setup mode. HOUR Press the M or S button to switch between 12 and 24 hour mode, and then press the Power button to save your choice. YEAR, MONTH, DAY and TIME Press the M and S button to adjust the year, press the power button to save your choice. And then use the same steps to set the month, day and time. MEAL MARKER, BEEP and KETONE INDICATOR Press the M or S button to switch between turning the meal marker “On” and “Off”. Press the Power button to confirm your selection. And then use the same steps to set the BEEP and KETONE INDICATOR. HYPER AND HYPO INDICATOR Press the M or S button to switch between turning the Hyper or Hypo indicator “On” and “Off”. Press the Power button to confirm your selection. When the Hyper or Hypo indicator is “On”, press the Power button, then press the M or S button to adjust the indicator level. And press the Power button to save your choice. TEST REMINDER You can set 1 to 5 reminders per day. By pressing the M or S button, you can either switch between turning the Test Reminders “On” and “Off” or adjust the reminder time. Press the Power button to confirm them. Using Your Meter's strip port light and back light After the meter turns on, press the Power Button for 2 seconds to use the Test Strip Port Light or Display Backlight alternatively. Performing a Quality Control Test The quality control test confirms that the test strips and meter are working together properly, and that you are performing the test correctly. Please follow these steps: 1. Insert a test strip into the strip port, to turn on the meter. 2. Check the display, the meter is ready for testing only when the blinking test strip and blood drop symbol appears. 3. Shake the control solution bottle, then squeeze and discard the first drop. Squeeze out a second drop on a clean nonabsorbent surface. 4. Touch the sample tip of the test strip to the control solution drop. Once a sufficient sample has been applied, the meter display will count down from 5 to 1, and then the result will be displayed on the screen. 5. Compare the result to the control range printed on the test strip vial. Make sure it falls in the range. 6. Slide the strip ejector forward to discard the used test strip. Testing the Blood The system requires a very small drop of blood which may be obtained from the fingertip, palm or forearm. To test your blood glucose, please follow these steps: 1. Unscrew the lancing device cover. Insert a sterile lancet into the lancet holder. Twist and pull the safety tab off. Save the safety tab for lancet disposal. Screw the lancet cover back. Adjust the puncture depth by rotating the lancing device cover. Pull the cocking barrel back, the device is now loaded and ready for obtaining a drop of blood. 2. Prior to testing, wipe your hand with an alcohol swab or wash your hands with soap. Then dry your hands thoroughly. Massage the hand from the wrist up to the fingertip a few times to encourage blood flow. 3. Insert a test strip into the strip port to turn on the meter. Check the display, the meter is ready for testing only when the blinking test strip and blood drop symbol appears. 4. Hold the lancing device against the side of the fingertip to be lanced. Push the release button to prick your fingertip. Gently massage from the base to the tip of the finger to obtain a drop of blood. Then remove it and obtain a second one. 5. Touch the blood sample to the sample tip at the end of the test strip. Once a sufficient sample has been applied, the meter will count down from 5 to 1. Then your blood glucose level will display on the screen. 6. After testing, record valid results in your logbook with the date and time, and compare them to the target goals set by your diabetes healthcare provider. 7. Slide the strip ejector forward to discard the used test strip. Unscrew the lancing device cover. Insert the lancet needle into the safety tab. Slide the ejection button forward to discard the used lancet. Place the lancing device cover back on. Please follow proper precautions and obey all local rules when disposing of blood samples and materials. Using the Meter Memory The meter automatically stores up to 500 test records. Viewing Stored Records 1. Press the M button to turn the meter on and enter memory mode. The most recent value, the word “MEM”, the date and the time will appear on the display. 2. Press the M or S button to view stored records. A pound sign indicates the record will be omitted from the average calculations. 3. Press the Power button to view the result averages. The words “DAY AVG” will appear on the screen. 4. While in data average mode, press the S button to switch between 7, 14, 30, 60 and 90 days averages. 5. Press the M button to exit the data average mode. Clearing the Memory Extreme caution should be used when clearing the memory. This is not a reversible operation. 1. With the meter off, press and hold the M button for two seconds. This will turn on the meter and enter the delete mode. To clear the memory, press and hold both the M and S buttons for two seconds. 2. The display will show “MEM” and three dashes, the meter will clear its memory and turn itself off after a moment. 3. If you entered the delete mode but want to exit without deleting the recorded data, press the Power button to turn the meter off.
